Student of the Quarter!

Good morning, it is Wednesday.

Yesterday I (along with Maren, John, and Carol) got to attend one of my favorite awards ceremonies ever.  Student of the Quarter at Kentlake.  Yup, that's Preston!  He earned his award in Social Studies/History.  Not his favorite subject by any stretch, but this is a testament to Preston's character that he tries his best and hands in outstanding work in all his classes.  Nice going!
Preston's picture is on the wall of his school.  You can see him under the second "s" in the word Students.
At the assembly the principal read to each student what the teacher who nominated them wrote.  You can tell that the principal enjoys this day.  Preston doesn't always wear a tie to school...this was only because he had a varsity soccer match in the evening and his team captains have decided that a shirt and tie are the things to do.  Got to love the Mickey Mouse tie!
This is a photo of all the students of the quarter from the entire school.  Preston is in the back in front of the door.  This is a very accomplished group of kids, and if anyone is worried about kids today and the future of our world, they only need to look at a group like this and it is clear the future is in very capable hands.

See you tomorrow.
