Hershey's Hansen

Good morning, it is Thursday.

Yesterday was track meet day for the boys. Hansen participated in the Hershey's Local track meet, Preston in his school meet. Preston could have done both meets, but chose just his school meet and then hang out time with friends at a local coffee shop. By the turn out in his age group, he was not alone in that sentiment. Preston did have a very good school meet, finishing 1st in the long jump and the 100 and second in the 200 and 4x100 relay. Hansen's age group was jam packed. Hansen had a great time goofing with a couple of friends and finishing second place in the 50 yard dash as well as the long jump. The same kid beat him in both events. Nice work Hansen.
Hansen also completed a ton of homework with very little protest and overall had a great day. He has qualified for the state track meet in Seattle later in June! Of course the way our schedules work out, Preston also has a soccer tournament that weekend, we were supposed to go on a mini vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge, I have the LiveSTRONG Challenge, and Father's Day. But that is way off in the future...we are still trying to figure out how to cope with this weekend! Saturday will bring Jr. Olympics, Baseball, Opening day of the pool, and possibly two sessions of soccer tryouts. Sunday is picnic, more soccer tryouts, and of course Mother's Day.

See you tomorrow.
