Art day.

Good morning, it is Saturday.

Our Internet has been down since last evening, it just came back on around 11:00am today. No Internet...tough to live!

Yesterday was my first day as an Art Docent in Lillie's 1st grade class. We were going over Monet and his work. I talked just a minute, read a children's book about Monet, then showed the project...with water colors, painting a copy of Monet's famous painting of the bridge over waterlilies at his pond in Giverny. The students all had a great time, the paints were used, bridges were made, reflections were created, and overall everyone had a very fun time with art. I will see how they all turned out after school on Monday.

Here is Lillie with her painting. You can see she added birds above the bridge, and there reflection is in the water below! Lillie enjoyed everything about the project, from the name of waterlilies to raising her hand and calling me "Mr. Slane."

Tonight is the Pumpkin Prowl!

See you tomorrow.

How fun for Lillie to have "Mr. Slane" as an art docent! Nice painting!
